Over the years the company prospered and expanded, providing products and services to numerous major corporations and financial institutions.
In 1992, Bob stepped down from the active management of the firm remaining as Chairman. His rationale was the desire to focus on a topic of great interest and concern to him, education.
In 1993, he founded Schaefer Institute, a totally volunteer, non-profit organization. In addition to the Institute, Bob is active in other societal endeavors including:
